Back-to-school blues
Yup it's the first week of school! Actually I was still pretty much in the holiday mood and not ready to commit myself into another hectic semester again, but well, not like I had a choice. My lecturers were all going full force on the syllabus already.

I'm taking four History modules and one Elective, which means the reading load for this semester would be quite a lot, not to mention the mad rush during the mid-term period. Technically speaking I should have quite a bit of fun because it's all my favourite!

- From Samurai to Sony: The History of Modern Japan
- US Media in the 20th Century and Beyond
- The United States in the Asia Pacific
- A History of Nation-Building in Singapore
- Japan and Singapore (Japanese Studies)

And guessed what! My favourite lecturer had just been promoted to the Head-of-Department for History! I'm very elated because he's one that does not believe in written examinations. And I happened to suck at them. So well, I hope he would be able to throw his weights on some "policy-making" in the Department!

I finally caught LOTR-The Return of the King today! Thought the show was just alright, love the battle scenes but didn't think that it's totally awesome. (Though I know it was pretty hard to create these scenes) Oh and yes, I finally tried the chicken from Mos Burger. It must have been almost a month since it was introduced. I think it's good, but dear don't think so, so go try it and judge for yourself!

Anyway I was going through a bad week, so didn't want to blog because I don't want to pretend to be okay when I'm not. And at the rate that I'm posting about depressing stuff, I think many of you out there might think that I need a psychiatrist!

Oh yah I took a lot of pictures on my new digital camera! Oh did I mentioned it before at all? It is the most expensive item that I've bought for myself so far! It's a Canon Ixus II. Looks like I have to remove it from my Wish List! So I'm just thinking about how I should host the pictures. Probably through webshots or something, I'll figure that out.

In case you are wondering, I've been spending as little money as I can. Picture this: Bus instead of cab (That's a very impressive achievement already), Coffee from the Vending Machine instead of Coffee from cafe, Meals at hall instead of meals out. Bit by bit. Toronto, here I come!

Anyway I sort of got into trouble with the authorities in hall. The Master and the Resident Fellow actually. It's because of some screw-ups for the yearbook (02/03) so we had been trying to fix the problem and get the book printed.

Oh I got my hair done on Wednesday. That was one of the few things that kept my spirits high this week. I love the new hairdo! Wait till you see it! Long and silky =P

Okay got to sleep now. Need to be up early tomorrow.

Sleep tight!

Good night!
