After the exhausting Flag Day, I managed to catch "The Village" by M. Night Shyamalan with dear. He's a fan of his, and his favourite being "The Unbreakable" cos he, too, is a comic fan..
Anyway I like the director's style of presenting the things he wants to show, themes he wants to introduce or ideas he wants to put across to the audience. Basically the pace of the movie is just like, in fact, very comfortable as there are enough excitement to build up the anticipation and enough substance in the plot to capture the attention of the audience. Like what the papers have mentioned, his films are always very marketable and box office friendly.
Personally I think this film is brilliant because of how everything falls into place by itself. With every development in the plot, you just can't help but feel how ingenuious the director had managed to piece everything together, yet allow some distinctiveness surface at the same time. I'm in awe!
Catch it if you can! Not to be missed!
