I dread going for this particular history lecture on thursday evenings. I dread subjecting myself to that kind of irritation and letting those poseurs triumph by doing nothing to stop them from rattling on and on and ON AND ON AND ON.
And to my horror, to make-up for the session that falls during the chinese new year holidays, my lecturer had very kindly decided that we should have two lecture sessions at one go. Which means next Thursday, I'll be stucked in that lecture room with those idiots for a grand total of FOUR hours.
I can't stop rolling my eyes when they want their comments to be heard on every single issues, even when some questions are not meant to be answered. Last week, I really wanted to tell them off because I couldn't take it anymore. Each idiot in that poseur club (Gosh, there's a group of them) wants to "contribute" about their knowledge on Confucianism. But mind you, it's a level 3 history class on East Asian International Relations.
The point is that the lecturer brought up Confucianism just for some background knowledge and to explain the general trends. And they took turns to tell the class about the five relationships etc. As if its a level 1 class. If we are not familiar with all those things, we wouldn't even be in that lecture. Then out of the blue, someone brought up Neo-Confucianism. Whatever man.
If they really have something of intellectual value to share in the class, I'll be more than glad to listen to them (although I might hate them for being so conscientious - but that's another story altogether). But it's apparent that most of the time they are just voicing out for the sake of getting heard.
Someone should tell them that there will be NO participation points awarded for talking almost as much as the lecturer does during the lecture session. And someone should tell them that they should use their brains to think before saying anything at all.
Or maybe I should be the one.
We shall see! Just a bunch of egocentric and annoying idiots.
ARGH!
