I was trying to resist the temptation of leaving the examination hall before the last 15-min announcement. It was so distracting after an hour and a half because so many pple left. In the end half the hall was empty.
Anyway I had this crappy paper today - not crappy cos it's too "easy" or "difficult" - but more like the rationale for the structure of the paper is beyond my comprehension. It is a Japanese studies module and the exam format was 50 MCQs. Most pple will tell me how easy it is to take MCQ test but for a module like this that takes on the voyeuristic view of the past, current and future, it just doesn't make sense to me!
Simply because FACTS, whatever that means to you, are subjected to interpretations. The outbreak of event A can be due to Reason i) or ii), depending on how you make your arguments. And the "simplicity" of a MCQ test kills it all.
Maybe its my apparent disdain for having to choose my answers from a list of pre-determined options, or perhaps I just detest the thought of getting an outright CROSS for my answers, without being given the chance to justify for it.
So well.
MCQs are just not my thing!
